Good point about the massacre of the Blue Dogs. Just as the Senate Republican caucus moved somewhat Right, the House Democrats have moved way left.The Progressive caucus should become dominant, perhaps allied with the CBC, with which it overlaps.

Yeah, we may not have taken the Senate, but we dominated in the House, in the Governor’s mansions, and in state legislatures. As you say, this will be a long term defeat for the Democrat/Progressives in that legislative districts will be tailored to help GOP/Conservatives.

Even worse for the Democrats as a party, their centrist faction has been eviscerated. The House Blue Dogs had their numbers halved. The Democrat Party is now a radical Left entity in extreme danger of becoming a fringe movement with marginalized leadership.
