Agriculture Commissioners are tough in Alabama

Is this guy running for commissioner or sheriff?

The Old West imagery is kind of jarring for a Deep South candidate, but, if he wins, I hope no one ever tries filching someone else’s water on his watch.

Or you’ll have to answer to Agriculture Commissioner Dale Peterson. Cowboy

Long time Jefferson Parish (Louisiana) Sheriff Harry Lee always wore a cowboy hat and cowboy boots. It isn’t a Texas thing. It’s a southern thing.

I have land in the great state of Alabama. I was born in Florida and tell everyone that I was cheated by the stork who dropped me abou four hundred miles too far east. That is a great state with great people.

They’ll give you the shirt off their back if you are in need and the back of their hand if you are a bad guy.
