They’re still trying to kill us

In case anyone had forgotten about those brave, brave jihadis who are trying to make the world safe for sharia, we were given a grisly reminder this morning as a suicide bomber in Moscow killed 31 and wounded over 100:

A suicide bomber killed 31 people and wounded more than 130 in a terrorist attack today at an airport in Russia’s capital.

Russian police said a suicide bomber detonated his vest in the middle of a crowd at the baggage claim at an international arrival terminal at Domodedovo International Airport. Domodedovo is Moscow’s largest airport, and the attack took place in the late afternoon, around 4:30 p.m. local time, when the airport is busy.

Twenty of those wounded are reported to be in critical condition; it is unclear if foreigners are among those killed.

While no group has claimed the deadly attack, suspicions fall on the al Qaeda-linked Islamic Caucasus Emirate, the terrorist insurgency in Russia’s southern Caucasus region. No statement has been released yet by Kavkaz Center, the propaganda arm of the Caucasus Emirate.

While the odds are that this atrocity was committed by groups fighting the Russians in Chechnya (Where the Russians have been no angels either, to say the least), this is part of jihadist Islam’s global campaign to force the rest of us to submit to sharia law: 9/11, the London Tube bombings,  Madrid, Alexandria, Bali, Nigeria… The list goes on.

And innocents keep dying.

who says this is a muslim who did this ??
i got sick of blaming Muslims for every single unfortunate accident …
can’t it be the Russian intelligence or the American one ???
God only knows who has the benefit of doing this?
As a muslim i can easily say that any muslim who reads his book (quraan) n believes in God n Muhammed n all other prophets ( jesus – moses – ibraham – joseph..etc)would never do such a thing or would never kill an innocent … it’s strictly forbiddden in islam …

      Hi Reem,

Blaming Muslims for everything? Far from it. I don’t blame them for the Spanish Civil War or the Jets losing the AFC Championship game.

Seriously, I do hold responsible those Muslims who act on the jihad imperative in Islam* to try to force submission to sharia and feel free to engage in terrorism and mass-murder to do it. Since 9/11, there have been over 16,000 deadly jihad attacks, from America through Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, India, and Southeast Asia. That includes those incidents I listed in the post, all inflicted by Muslims acting on sound theological principles. As far as the latest atrocity in Russia goes, it may turn out to be some other group, but it fits the pattern of the Chechnyan mujahideen and I would be very surprised to see it turn out otherwise. As a manager for al-Arabiya TV put it a few years ago, “Not every Muslim is a terrorist, but the vast majority of terrorists in the world today are Muslim.”

Thanks for leaving a comment, and you’re always welcome back.

*(As evidenced in the Qur’an, the hadiths, the biography of Muhammad written by ibn Ishaq, and as validated to this day by the major schools of Islamic law. See, for example, “The Reliance of the Traveler,” published by al Azhar.)
