Leading Iranian cleric: “Hey, it’s okay to kill Jewish babies”

May 31, 2011

Hey, Mesbah-Yazdi said we could!

That’s the takeaway regarding this fatwa issued by the Ayatollah Mesbah-Yazdi in response to a questioner asking whether a suicide bomber was, well, committing suicide:

Q: “Now, about [the] targeting [of] civilians in the Zionist state. Some say that according to the teaching[s] of [Ahl Al-Bayt, i.e. the Prophet Muhammad's household] and the Koran, it is haram to target civilians in any case. They also say that Israelis are civilians like any other people, while others believe they are settlers and usurpers [rather than] civilians.

“Are the operations [carried out] by Hamas and [Islamic] Jihad against [Israeli] ‘civilians’ haram? Why or why not? How about the Israeli children killed in such attacks? If it is not haram, what is the answer to those who quote the Hadith [which forbids targeting] non-combatants.”

A: “Muslims should not attack those civilians of the occupied territories who have announced their opposition to their government’s vicious crimes, except [in] situations in which they are used as human shields and [when] fighting the aggressors depends on attacking those [same] civilians.”

Note that the learned Shiite scholar, though specifically asked about killing children, never says “don’t do it.” Not a word of forbiddance. You shouldn’t target those who denounced their own government, but if they’re being used as human shields… Well, hey. Stuff happens, you know?

I guess it was the fault of the Fogel children that they didn’t publicly oppose Israeli policy.

Note also that the questioner asked about the religious propriety of suicide bombing. You may be surprised to know that this is a controversial issue in Islam, because suicide is a sin. Islamic scholars have argued with al Qaeda leaders about this, and they in turn have had to engage in stretched-to-the-breaking-point arguments to say it isn’t technically suicide. (Read all about it.) Mesbah-Yazdi apparently comes down on the al Qaeda side of the argument, telling the questioner that it is not only permitted, but it is a religious obligation on all Muslims to conduct “martyrdom operations.”

Funny, but the learned Ayatollah himself has yet to strap on a bomb belt and blast his way to glory as a martyr. I’m sure it’s just a matter of time until he gets around to it.

Just as soon as the right Jewish child comes along.

RELATED: In case you find yourself wondering if Ayatollah Mesbah-Yazdi is some kind of …er… fanatic, you’re right. How much of a fanatic, you ask? How about, “so bad that even Ayatollah Khomeini banned his movement?” Mesbah-Yazdi is a spiritual adviser to President Gilligan Ahmadinejad; he’s appeared in this blog before.

They’re still trying to kill us

January 24, 2011

In case anyone had forgotten about those brave, brave jihadis who are trying to make the world safe for sharia, we were given a grisly reminder this morning as a suicide bomber in Moscow killed 31 and wounded over 100:

A suicide bomber killed 31 people and wounded more than 130 in a terrorist attack today at an airport in Russia’s capital.

Russian police said a suicide bomber detonated his vest in the middle of a crowd at the baggage claim at an international arrival terminal at Domodedovo International Airport. Domodedovo is Moscow’s largest airport, and the attack took place in the late afternoon, around 4:30 p.m. local time, when the airport is busy.

Twenty of those wounded are reported to be in critical condition; it is unclear if foreigners are among those killed.

While no group has claimed the deadly attack, suspicions fall on the al Qaeda-linked Islamic Caucasus Emirate, the terrorist insurgency in Russia’s southern Caucasus region. No statement has been released yet by Kavkaz Center, the propaganda arm of the Caucasus Emirate.

Read the rest at The Long War Journal.

While the odds are that this atrocity was committed by groups fighting the Russians in Chechnya (Where the Russians have been no angels either, to say the least), this is part of jihadist Islam’s global campaign to force the rest of us to submit to sharia law: 9/11, the London Tube bombings,  Madrid, Alexandria, Bali, Nigeria… The list goes on.

And innocents keep dying.

They stand against civilization itself

December 26, 2010

Such brave jihadis, using a woman to attack innocent people — refugees waiting for food:

A female Taliban suicide bomber killed 42 Pakistani civilians in an attack at a World Food Program ration distribution point in Pakistan’s tribal agency of Bajaur.

The female suicide bomber detonated her vest in the midst of a crowd of more than 300 people waiting at a checkpoint outside for handouts from the World Food Program in Khar, the main town in Bajaur. Those waiting for food were among the internally displaced people who fled the fighting between the military and the Taliban over the past three years.

Pakistani officials said that 42 people were killed and 72 more were wounded, some critically.

(…)

In the pamphlets, the Taliban “threatened the people, particularly the government employees and security forces, not to support the agenda of the US and its allies,” The News reported. “The militants said that they would continue their ‘jihad’ against the US and its supporters. They also urged the Taliban fighters not to surrender to the government and warned them and security forces of stern action.”

Emphasis added.

Tell me again that this isn’t a religious war, that its “root causes” are instead found in poverty, a lack of education, Western colonialism, or any of a dozen other leftist shibboleths… Anything except what the barbarians say it is: a war against the non-Islamic, against Western civilization and its values.

Maybe ought to listen to what they’re telling us, instead.

Swedish PM: Don’t bother me with facts when I’m being tolerant

December 13, 2010

Following up on the recent jihadist terror attack in Stockholm, the BBC interviewed Prime Minister Reinfeldt. His reaction to the near-atrocity in his capital? Outrage? Anger? A vow to defend his nation and people with whatever it takes?

Nope. Instead he responded with a firm “This is unacceptable.”

My reaction? Unbelievable.

Click the image to watch the interview at the BBC’s site:

“Unacceptable.” Boy, I bet that has the guys who love death just quaking in their boots.

And he’s not sure that the attack and the threatening emails received minutes before were related? You mean the emails that read

“Our actions will speak for themselves, as long as you do not stop your stupid war against Islam, your humiliation of the prophet, and your support of the pig Wilkes,” the warning said.

Emphases added. That last is in reference to Swedish cartoonist Lars Vilks, who’s under death threats for drawing Muhammad in a satirical manner.

Back to Prime Minister Unacceptable, if he’s still unsure, maybe he should ask the jihadis themselves, who have identified the bomber as one of their own:

An Islamist website on Sunday identified the bomber behind Saturday’s attacks in the Swedish capital Stockholm as Taymour Abdel Wahab and published a photograph it said was him.

“It is our brother, mujahid Taymour Abdel Wahab, who carried out the martyrdom operation in Stockholm,” said the website Shumukh al-Islam, which published a photograph of a man in dark glasses and Western clothes.

And just in case PM Head-In-The-Sand quibbles that the website authors could just be blowing smoke from their hookahs, the UK’s Daily Mail confirms:

Iraqi-born Taimour Abdulwahab Al-Abdaly, 28, blew up his car, then himself, in the capital Stockholm.

And today it emerged he was thrown out of a Luton mosque three years ago for being too radical.

A Swedish prosecutor said it was likely that Abdulwahab was wearing a bomb belt and was possibly on his way to a department store or train station when the explosive detonated by accident.

(…)

The Bedfordshire town has a Muslim population of 20,000 and has been linked with a string of high-profile extremists.

Last year Muslim protesters disrupted a homecoming march of soldiers returning from Afghanistan.

It has also emerged Abdulwahab – who had lived in the UK for 10 years – visited radical Islamic websites and Facebook groups including one which offers advice on preparing for Judgement Day.

Another website he visited – Yawm Al-Qiyaamah – shows pictures of Tower Bridge engulfed by flames and has more than 8,000 followers.

His Facebook page features an Islamic flag being raised over a world in flames. On the page, he says he is a member of the group Islamic Caliphate State, which seeks to establish Islamic rule worldwide and adds: ‘I’m a Muslim and I’m proud.’

Honestly, if this is the kind of leadership Sweden has, then just give up now and welcome your new masters. There’s value, of course, in being thoughtful and calm in time of crisis, but when someone is trying to kill your people, when a group has declared war on your whole society, just saying what they’re doing is “unacceptable” is an act of weakness and an open invitation for the next attack.

And when that happens and you’re bagging body parts on the streets, what do you do next? Unleash a public shaming?

Muslim terrorists hit Sweden

December 11, 2010

The Religion of Peace lived up to its name again, this time in an attempted mass murder of Christmas shoppers in the Swedish capital, Stockholm. Two separate bombs went off, but, thankfully, only two Swedes were injured:

A car loaded with gas canisters detonated in a busy section of downtown Stockholm today, followed by another explosion 10 minutes later caused by a suicide bomber.

After the explosions, the bomber was found dead lying about 300 yards away from the car bomb, reportedly wearing a suicide vest and a backpack full of nails and surrounded by the remains of pipe bombs. The bombs apparently were inexpertly crafted and failed to detonate to full capacity. Two people were wounded in the bombings, which took place in a street filled with Christmas shoppers.

Only minutes before the attacks, the Swedish Security Police (SAPO) had received an email warning, with sound files in both Swedish and Arabic, referring to the presence of Swedish forces in Afghanistan and to the cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed by Swedish artist Lars Viks, Reuters reported.

“Our actions will speak for themselves, as long as you do not end your war against Islam and humiliation of the Prophet and your stupid support for the pig Viks,” the speaker threatened on the tape, as reported by Swedish news agency TT.

The message threatened the Swedish state and its people, according to the BBC, saying the time had come for them to die “like our brothers and sisters.” It also exhorted militant Muslims in Sweden and Europe to rise up against the West.

The Long War Journal notes the similarity of these attacks to the attempted Times Square bombing a few months ago, indicating perhaps another attack by the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, the Pakistani Taliban. Sweden had been on high alert for several weeks, as a Mumbai-style attack had been feared in Europe for several weeks.

And you can bet, in politically correct, multiculturalist Sweden, Swedish authorities, media, and the intellectual elite will put the blame for this anywhere but where it rightly belongs: the doctrine of jihad fi sabil Allah (“War for the sake of Allah”) and the supremacist, separationist, and aggressive attitudes toward non-Muslims built into Islam.

Until our leaders recognize the religious aspect of a war that’s been going on for over a thousand years, these attacks are going to happen again and again.

They are still trying to kill us.

Religion of Nihilism Watch

February 5, 2010

If, as the saying goes, our children represent our belief in a better future, what does it say about a society that uses nine-year olds as suicide bombers?

Yeesh.

Teach the children, Palestinian-style

December 9, 2009

On Al-Quds TV, a sheikh glorifies a suicide bomber before a group of children, praising her love of death:

How much you want to bet that this noble sheikh will be among the last to volunteer to blow himself up. But he’s very happy to encourage these children to do the same.

Barbarians.

Taliban near nuclear weapons

October 22, 2009

This should make us all feel real good:

A Taliban suicide bomber has killed seven people near a nuclear weapons complex in Pakistan’s Punjab province.

The suicide bomber detonated outside a security checkpoint near the Kamra Air Weapon Complex in the district of Attock, Geo News reported. Three security personnel and four civilians were killed in the blast, and 12 more were wounded.

(…)

The Kamra Air Weapon Complex is one of three military industrial production facilities in the Wah Cantt, according to Global Security. The Pakistani Ordnance Factories, a collection of 14 factories that produce arms and ammunition for the Pakistani armed forces, and Heavy Industries Taxila are also contained within the Wah Cantt. More than 40,000 Pakistanis are employed at the factories.

Kamra is believed to be connected with Pakistan’s nuclear weapons program. The Pakistani Ordnance Factories are believed to store nuclear weapons at a “screwdriver level” – meaning the components are stored disassembled and can be assembled within hours of needed use.
